A WebAR memorial tour of the sites where the Romanian Revolution began in December 1989. Visitors walk through Timișoara with their phones and see historical photographs and footage materialize at the exact locations where events occurred - armored vehicles appearing in the streets where they once rolled, crowds assembling in the squares where people gathered and died.
The project combines geospatial AR, a curated historical timeline, and an interactive map. Commissioned by the Municipality of Timișoara, co-funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU / PNRR.
